Arch post-punkers The Monochrome Set have been flickering on and off since striding out of the same London art school melee that birthed Adam & The Ants. Their classic run of early singles included the driving ‘He’s Frank (Slight Return)’, revived for Norman Cook’s Brighton Port Authority project with guest vocalist Iggy Pop making a prescient puppet appearance in the video. Reunited once again on new album ‘Platinum Coils’, the Set swing into town for an incredibly rare show. (SH)
