There’s no stopping this lot. Having released eleven records in as many years, David Tattersall and chums popped out a twenty-song double album back in October – and now they’re on tour again. Inspired by a US road trip supporting Allo Darlin’, ‘City Of Forgiveness’ sees the band introduce some American blues into their usual mix of lo-fi English indie and African highlife riffs. Most importantly, the new songs have lost none of the wit and wisdom that tends to lurk within Tattershall’s seemingly throwaway lyrics.
