With the release of their fourth studio album ‘The Weight Of Your Love’ it was time for Editors to grace the stage of the Brighton Dome, this time with support from British Sea Power.

This year has seen the band in a rush of festival appearances and an European tour to promote the album release. The departure of guitarist Chris Urbanowicz in 2012 has been followed by the employment of two new members: Elliot Williams and Justin Lockley. The band entered the stage in their typical full front of mystery opening with new track ‘Sugar’; and it wasn’t long before the lads were in the swing of things.

The band didn’t neglect to play ‘Munich’, ‘Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors’ and ‘All Sparks’ – songs which launched them to international acclaim in the mid 2000s. In addition, we got more recent tracks such as ‘Papillon’, ‘You Don’t Know Love’ and ‘Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool’ from the 2009 album ‘In This Light And On This Evening’.

The show was backed with brilliant lighting and a mass of energy from the band, most noticeably from frontman Tom Smith, who has always been known for his confidence and bewildering stage presence.
