Brighton post-country band The Delta Bell released their sophomore album entitled ‘Hold Fast The Fire’ on the hometown Random Acts of Vinyl record label.
The launch at Hotel Pelirocco on Thursday saw the band run through the whole album, with their tight scuzzy-country sound and Kate Gerrard’s wonderful down-home vocals, suitably aided and abetted by Andrew, Bob and James. The album has been receiving some well-deserved excellent reviews. Support came from Stephanie Goodman (Blue Minkies/Shrag/Summer Hunter).
There’s a London launch on Saturday night at Biddle Bros in Hackney if you can make it. If not you can listen to the album over at the band’s bandcamp page where you can also purchase this most excellent local record on beautiful vinyl.
