Bizarro World, Sat 30th June

Quite simply the best idea we’ve heard in ages, Todd ‘One Inch Badge’ Jordan’s Bizarro World is a mini Stars In Their Eyes for bands. Each event sees a local outfit play a tribute set to their favourite group, and the choices might not be what you’d expect. Soccer96 glitch up Led Zeppelin, Todd’s noisy buggers Negative Pegasus will become Creedence Clearwater Revival, while Munich make The Strokes epic and Plague Sermon provide a doom version of Devo. This can’t stay at Fitzherberts for long, the crowds will soon be as big as the idea.
