Sea Power live at Brighton Festival

While having grown up in Cumbria and forming the band in Reading, it is Brighton where Sea Power (then British Sea Power) really learnt their craft and went from recording those early demos to touring the world. Their club night at the Freebutt and Lift Club built a strong local following and saw guest appearances from such unlikely bed fellows as folk luminaries the Copper Family.

This attitude to performance and creativity has taken them from playing the seafront at Saltdean to the Great Wall of China, via the CERN Particle Accelerator, and has included legendary tales of escapades at their Krankenhaus Festival.

They have continued to release music throughout their long career and 2022’s well received ‘Everything Was Forever’ charted at number 4 in the album charts.

Brighton Source is therefore very pleased that they are returning to play Brighton Dome as part of the official festival programme in May. It promises to be a thrilling experience to savour and remember.
