Street Style: Lola

Lola for Brighton SOURCE magazine's Street Style feature.

The day our Kevin stopped Lola in the Brighton streets she was rocking a 90s American look but any other day could have been completely different. “I’m in a band called The Party,” she explained. “The idea is that me and my bandmate Katey dress for a different party every day.”So one day she might have a tropical vibe, the next she might be in classic Egyptian garb. All we can say about that is, what a fantastic way to live your life. One day might be “the largest, loudest, duttiest rave”, the following day they might have “a quiet tea party with our mums and biscuit accompaniment”. Lola sums it up by saying there is no such thing as fancy dress, just dressing fancy. Well, the best way to get into the party mood (responsibly) is with a Tuaca and Lola is the recipient of this month’s bottle. Can we suggest drinking it as The Conservative Party. If you want to get in the party spirit you can listen to Lola’s music at mypace.com/thepartymusic.

Jacket from TK Maxx
“It’s quite 90s, and I’m a big 90s fan. It’s kinda fashionable at the moment which is a good and bad thing.”

T-shirt from H&M
“I wore it cos I thought it went with the jacket.”

Leggings from “somewhere or other”
“I don’t have anywhere I particularly go for leggings, they’re just cheapies.”

Boots from Dawson
“They’re really comfortable and they go with pretty much everything.”

Hair by herself
“I just cut it myself actually.”
