The Frank & Walters plus supports, Sat 30th May

The ‘Franks’ formed in Cork in 1989 and released their classic debut LP, Trains, Boats and Planes, on Go Discs! in 1992. After All, the third single taken from the album reached number 11 in the UK charts and hit the top 5 in Ireland. It’s a classic piece of early 90s indie pop and recharted in 2018 after featuring in The Young Offenders TV show.

The current line up has been in place for 16 years and comprises original members Paul Linehan (vocals/bass) and Ashley Keating (drums), plus Rory Murphy (lead guitar since 2010), Cian Corbett (keyboards since 2005) and this show is a rare chance to see them as a full band, following their duo show at The Komedia last year.

Oldfield Youth Club is made up of 3/4 of critically acclaimed 1980s pop group The Last Party who played two Peel Sessions & was crowned Melody Maker Single of the Week with their debut single Mr Hurst).

Featuring songwriter and compelling frontman Simon Rivers (Bitter Springs, Poor Performer), Neil Palmer & Kim Rivers, the trio reunited with the idea to pare down & simplify Simon’s songs/lyrics which has created a catalogue of short, powerful, and always catchy songs.

It’s no secret that local indie-pop heroes Amelia & The Housewives are Brighton Source favourites and we are over the moon that their debut album will be released later this year. Formed in May 2024, Amelia and Lola share vocal duties, with Tim on guitar, Dan on drums, and Steve on bass and their live sets are a guaranteed party with their catchy, classy pop originals and well-chosen covers.

You can catch this amazing lineup at Dust on Saturday 30th May.

Tickets are available online here.
