Liberace & Liza – A Tribute, 5th & 6th May

The showbiz stars aligned when it was announced that Liberace and Liza were to tour the UK soon after Liza Minnelli’s 80th birthday and the publication of her long-awaited autobiography ‘Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!’.

Sadly, Liza Minnelli will not be appearing at Brighton Fringe this year, nor will Liberace who died in 1987. There’s also the fact that they never performed together but that didn’t stop Portland, Oregon’s David Saffert & Jillian Snow from creating a hysterical and wildly successful mashup of the two totally over-the-top stars.

Take a look at their Instagram page to witness Saffert’s dizzying piano skills and Snow’s powerhouse voice team up in Cabaret, New York, New York, Over the Rainbow to surprise covers by Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. Also check out their hilarious reels as they try to navigate their superstar way through the everyday world.

This is much more than a ‘straight’ tribute as they fight for the spotlight with their perfectly OTT performances of these iconic legends, and you can catch them for three shows only at Ironworks Studios. From what we’ve seen you won’t find a more accomplished, more camp show in Brighton this year.

See Liberace & Liza – A Tribute at Ironworks Studios on 5th and 6th May.
Tickets are on sale now online here.
