Peggs & Son

To reflect the fact that the shop has moved on and no longer carries womenswear, Minky has had a change of name. Coming on like a gentlemen’s outfitters brought right up to date, Peggs & Son now focuses on menswear across both it’s floors meaning they can offer the whole package from underwear to wallets. And the clothes are serious, offering real quality without being flashy. It’s details not logos, with Comme Des Garcon and Sonia Rykiel staring.

“The new name comes from the fact that I just had a little boy,” says the owner Ian with a sweet smile.

Shoes by One True Saxon (£90)

“A classic British casual shoe.”

T Shirt by Passarella Death Squad (£45)

“The do the best prints on the market.”

“Made in Liberty fabric, they actually supply the James Bon franchise.”

Wallet by Richard James (£145)

“Made of calf leather by the Saville Row tailor.”

Socks by Richard James (£15)

Fragrance by Comme Des Garcon (from £60)
