Ian

It makes sense that Ian stood out on the drizzly morning we took to the streets. He ought to have all the clobber as he owns one of the best clothes shops in town – Minky. But even with the access to his fave labels – YMC, Nudie and Surface To Air – that he looks like he’s walked off the set of a 60s French new wave film is particularly impressive. It’s not so long that boys slobbed around in snowboard jackets, so it’s great to see the return of the coat, whether mac, duffle or peacoat. There’s something quite romantic about turning your collar up to the cold. And if you can imagine you’re in a Goddard movie, all the better. Gaulois optional, obviously.

Glasses: Alaim Mikili from Bromptons
“I’ve always worn Alaim Mikili since I started wearing glasses.”

Scarf: Aquascutum
“I’ve had it since I was a 16 year old hooligan – I’ve been wearing it for years.”

Coat: Villain
“It’s cashmere and has really classic styling.”

Underneath Coat: Cardigan by Comme de Garcon, t-shirt by Surface To Air
“I got the cardigan cheap in a clothing down sale – that’s definitely its best point.”

Jeans: Nudie Slim Jims in black denim
“Jeans are all about the quality of denim and the quality of fit.”

Trainers: Adidas Montreal
“They’ve got fluffy insides”
