When buying vintage (or, as they used to be called, old) clothes sometimes you have a dive into a size that isn’t the perfect fit. Mizzy has sidestepped that problem by going supersized and it looks great. Coming on as if she’s walked straight off the set of the ‘Like A Virgin’ video in her bouncer’s jacket, the faded denim is almost a dress on her.

“Madonna is probably my biggest style influence,” Mizzy confirms. “But I’ve been through loads of 80s phases. I had a Shakespear’s Sister look.”
But it’s Mizzy’s cheekiness that really pulls this off, something she shares with her idol. Boyfriend denim just stepped up a gear.

Bow in hair from Urban Outfitters
“I always wear bows in my hair – I quite like to have big hair so I can get away with big bows.”

Sunglasses by Ralph Lauren
“They’re from my mum. They’re really old. I like sunglasses to be either really small and round or vintage styles like the ones that point outward, or vintage Ray-Bans. Or maybe chunky Victoria Beckham ones if you’re going glamorous.”

Scarf from i gigi
“It’s from my mum’s shop on Western Road. It’s made of goat and is very warm.“

Jacket by Levis
“I wear it everywhere. It’s just easy. It goes with everything. It’s XXL – I’ve also got sized 16 dungarees even though I’m size 8. I buy everything really big.”

Tights
“They’re ripped and laddered tights and fishnets together. I often wear two pair cos most of mine are ripped so I like to layer them.”

Shoes by Dr Martens
“At first they were really uncomfortable but now they’re really comfy and I can wear them with everything.”
