As the first signs of spring show themselves in the trees we edge ever closer to the glory and craziness that is unquestionably the best weekend to live in Brighton: The Great Escape.

The festival organisers have today announced 150 new acts that will be added to the line-up. This includes a number of SOURCE local favorites including: the queens of righteous punk fury Lambrini Girls, sleazy spiritual rock’n’roll from Opus Kink, a return to the festival for the rechristened Soft Play and jazzy expansive rock from Plantoid.

Other names to be excited about include Irish hip hop fury form the current name to drop, Kneecap, some Bella Union goodness from Conchúr White, classic garage rock from Joe Gideon with Jim Sclavunos, gloriously named queer punk from The Menstrual Cramps, Canadian art punk from La Sécurité, and some bluesy murder ballads from John J. Presley.

The festival is also aiming to support a number of independent labels with showcases from Alcopop, Bella Union, City Slang, FatCat, Fat Possum, Heavenly and Nice Swan amongst others.

On top of that SOURCE is most excited about those names we don’t know yet, in our neverending search for our new favourite band…
