National Student Pride descends on the St James’s Street area for the weekend, emptying its cashpoints and filling its streets with youthful party energy. Those seeking a respite from the pumping chart music and drunken revelry elsewhere can find it at this acoustic fundraiser for Brighton Women’s Centre. Al Start, now more widely known for her children’s songs, returns to her folk and country roots. She’s joined by the nine-piece ukulele ensemble, playing ukulele mashups of classic pop hits.
