Alabama 3, Sunday 30th March

Brixton’s much-loved Country Acid House Music rabble rousers, Alabama 3, return to The Concorde 2 in March in celebration of their first two albums.

“Our ‘Exile On Coldharbour Lane’ tour plans were rudely and aptly interrupted by ‘La Peste’ (The Plague) itself – aka the Covid pandemic,” Larry Love shared. “We are giving the brothers and sisters space to congregate and celebrate both albums, especially now Devlin Love is back to make them even more of an event.”

While ‘Exile On Coldharbour Lane’ was the album which launched their songs into the hands of David Chase, the producer of The Sopranos, ‘La Peste’ was no stranger to having songs being featured in major films and series.

“Too Sick To Pray” from La Peste was synced in Gone In Sixty Seconds featuring Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Cage and also features on the popular TV series Being Human. ‘La Peste’ also features the hugely popular The Sopranos mix of “Woke Up This Morning”. “Sad Eyed Lady of The Lowlife” from ‘La Peste’ also features on The Sopranos, whilst “Mansion on The Hill” was featured on 3000 Miles To Graceland featuring Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner.

There’s strong support in the form of The Dead Reds so it’s definitely worth getting down there early to catch these Brighton-based rockers.

Alabama 3 play Concorde 2 on Sunday 30th March.
