Jack Hues & The Quartet

Hues is probably best known for the 80s smash ‘Dance Hall Days’ by Wang Chung, the new wave band he founded and continues to front. He’s been a mainstay of the Canterbury prog/folk/jazz scene for many years and brings his quartet to town in support of new jazz-flavoured album ‘A Thesis On The Ballad’.

There are a number of Great British influences on the romping ‘An Expanse Of Water’ and the feeling of space on ‘The Truth’ could be from a 1970s Windham Hill release, so the live show promises to be an eclectic evening of thoughtful, quintessentially English music.

Komedia, Wednesday 4th May 2016
