When he’s not making people cry with tremblingly mournful covers of The Knife and Massive Attack, José González plays in Swedish indie folk band Junip. Their second, self-titled LP, was released at the end of April, and their original sound is rougher, rockier and more psychedelic than their frontman’s covers. González’ recognisable vocals and the band’s soaring guitar riffs and woozy echoes will still make your heart ache though, if that’s what you’re looking for.
