Kamasi Washington, new date Mon 14th Apr 2025

Due to a serious back injury, Kamasi Washington regrets to announce that his show at Chalk, Brighton on 18th October 2024 is being postponed and will now take place at the Corn Exchange, Brighton on 14th April 2025. All original tickets will be honoured.

Given his stature and global success we’d have expected Kamasi Washington to play the Dome for his first Brighton gig, but he’s booked a club date at Chalk on Friday 18th October to debut his critically acclaimed new album Fearless Movement, inspired by dance and the birth of his first daughter and featuring Thundercat, George Clinton and André 3000 on flute.

He’s previously played back-to-back Love Supreme Festivals in 2016 and 2017 to packed crowds and rapturous receptions, following his blistering sold-out UK debut at London Barbican in 2015, so tickets for this intimate Brighton show won’t hang around for long.

If you want to see this GRAMMY-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer and bandleader, tickets go on sale this Friday 25th May at 10am.

Chalk, Friday 18th October 2024
