LOVE ACTION! Local Music Charity Fundraiser, 18th Feb

Love Action is a cosy winter-warmer, a mini music all-dayer and a benefit for The Sussex Beacon. So if you fancy blowing away the winter cobwebs and helping yourself and a great local charity to feel good while enjoying some of Brighton’s finest musical acts, then we heartily recommend you get down to the Latest Music Bar on Saturday 18th February.

Doors open at 3pm and there will be an array of performers throughout the day, including young indie-rockers Grasshopper (who have supported The Charlatans and The Go! Team), electro-acoustic pop maestros Seadog, the delicious alt-country sounds of five-piece The Delta Bell, local indie-pop heroes fresh from their Paris gig Palm Springs, jangling Americana from Lucas & King and more. After the nine or so live acts end around 11pm there will be DJs to keep you going into the early hours.

It should be a heart-warming way to have some fun, enjoy some great live music and contribute to a good cause.

Sussex Beacon is a well-known local hospice that offers specialist care and support to people effected by HIV and is facing significant cuts to its funding. All of the acts have volunteered their time so that all of the day’s proceeds can go to the Beacon. As well as an excellent-value entry fee, the organisers are asking that people bring donations for a local foodbank and you can find more information on the FB event page.

There is also a petition to fight the funding cuts here.
