More details have been announced for this year’s Love Supreme Festival following the news that Anita Baker is making a one-off appearance and it’s an embarassment of riches. Not forgetting that TLC, The Isley Brothers, Charles Lloyd and Sergio Mendes are already onboard.

Philadelphia’s hip-hop superstars Roots are the biggest name to be added and will be closing the festival as the Sunday headliners. Soul queen Candi Staton returns as part of a tour celebrating her 80th birthday, while disco lovers will be delighted that Sister Sledge will be bringing love in a family way.

Ever mindful of moving music forward, Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes are to unveil their new collaboration and the ubiquitous Nubya Garcia has both her own group and Domino recording artists Nerija, also featuring the talents of guitarist Shirley Tetteh and trombonist Rosie Turton.

There is plenty for party people to be excited about as Brand New Heavies return with a trunk full of floor fillers, congalero king Snowboy makes his debut with his electrifying Latin Section and London funkers Mamas Gun and MF Robots are guaranteed to get people on their feet. LA-based Louie Cole will be bringing his ultra-modern Big Band for their first visit and if contemporary soulful vocals are your thing then South London’s Greentea Peng and neo-soul sensation Yazmin Lacey will help you to chill out.

For those bringing little ones to this family-friendly festival there are plenty of activities and if you want to take a break from the music there’s the excellent food area, yoga sessions and a secret swimming pool to escape to.

There are still more names yet to be unveiled so we’ll share future announcements as soon as we get them.

Love Supreme Festival, Glynde Place, Glynde. 3rd – 5th July 2020

Tickets start at £54. Click here for more details and to book.
