And the winner for The Buzziest Buzz Band Of 2011? Although this five-piece from Liverpool made it onto the UK music blogs’ parallel version of the BBC’s Sound Of 2012 poll, having caught people’s attention by signing to the hot London label Double Denim and hosting packed-out hipster shows in Dalston, there’s more than buzz you can award to this group. Impressive song craft, that feels as smooth as digging your toes in sand, has been correctly likened to the likes of Wild Beasts, or fellow-Liverpudlians, Look Stranger. (TR)
