Resonators, Thurs 17th September

Just when you thought the summer season was on its way out, the sound of Jamaica is right around the corner. Fiesta Bombarda are bringing a carnival atmosphere to Brighton and it’s set to be a feast for the eyes and ears when the five acts take to the colourful stage. Headlining this tropical festival is dub reggae eight-piece Resonators with their distinct mix of funk and soul. That is, until the dub takes over. The Brighton band blends supremely crafted saxophone with glorious female vocals, swaying atop the staccato rhythm of the guitar. As a recent support act for Jimmy Cliff, this band are definitely on the up. Other acts joining the party include Euphony, Mutant Vinyl, Gypsy Disco Soundsystem and Bombarda Soundsystem.
