SOURCE New Music At Digital Fest, Fri 20th Sept

Jul 20, 2013
-
Posted by Stuart Huggett

The second SOURCE New Music this month promises deep electronics and spectacular imagery, curated by visual artists metaLuna. The headline slot finds the pair in collaboration with composer Matthew Hodson’s bitbin project, producing a hypnotic audio-visual experience on a specially designed three-dimensional set. Champion Fever and Alphabets Heaven bring their own lush electronic styles, along with instrumental post-rock trio Spacenoid, and Beatabet DJs in the downstairs bar.

Stuart Huggett grew up in Hastings, writing fanzines and blogs about the town’s underground music scene. He has been a regular contributor to SOURCE, NME, The Quietus and Bowlegs. His huge archive of magazines, flyers and vinyl is either an invaluable research tool or a bloody pain. He occasionally runs tinpot record label Dizzy Tiger, DJs sporadically and plays live even less.
