Spectrum, Weds 15th

Aug 1, 2012
-
Posted by Stuart Huggett

Pete Kember’s Spectrum return to Brighton for a sonically and visually rich evening of hypnotic psychedelia. Kember’s production work and live shows with MGMT, on their 2010 album ‘Congratulations’, rewarded him with the highest profile he’s enjoyed since his Spacemen 3 days, but he’s never been idle, building a dense catalogue of drone explorations as Spectrum, Experimental Audio Research and Sonic Boom. Telescopes affiliates One Unique signal provide repetitively riffing support.

Stuart Huggett
Stuart Huggett grew up in Hastings, writing fanzines and blogs about the town’s underground music scene. He has been a regular contributor to SOURCE, NME, The Quietus and Bowlegs. His huge archive of magazines, flyers and vinyl is either an invaluable research tool or a bloody pain. He occasionally runs tinpot record label Dizzy Tiger, DJs sporadically and plays live even less.
