Wildhood, Fri 29th July

Safe to say you have probably already heard of Rizzle Kicks, who found massive success with their album ‘Stereo Typical’ in 2011. Wildhood is the new solo project of one of their members, Jordan Stephens.

His Vert EP is a much different beast to his past work with a darker, broodier and more menacing sound. It blends spoken work, singing and crooning that falls somewhere between Ghostpoet and Saul Williams.

This new work allows him to dip into different moods and vary his styles from the stark and atmospheric ‘Double Dark’, to head nodding upbeat ‘Psycho Jam’ to the stripped back ‘Hate Me’ featuring Chris Wintermeyer on trumpet. You can be sure it won’t be like any shows of his you’ve seen before.

With support from quality Brighton hip hop duo Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn and Remi Miles.
