Blues rocker Joe Bonamassa played five UK dates as part of his April tour, ending with a show at the Brighton Centre on the 27th of April.

With this being the fifth time Joe has played the Brighton Centre he thanked the audience for attending… remarking that without them then he wouldn’t be playing Brighton ever again! The band played a two-hour set comprising of 12 songs, with ‘Sloe Gin’ being bought back as the encore due to audience request from previous shows where the song wasn’t played.

The sounds that Joe can get out of his guitars range from barely audible (with the 3,000 audience members all being as quiet as mice at the same time) to thunderous. His rock-styled riffs seemed to make the sides of the building vibrate.

The two-hour set just slipped passed in the blink of an eye and it’s unlikely there was anyone in the audience who didn’t appreciate the evening’s performance, certainly not any of the people we overheard talking about the show afterwards on their way home…
