Mr Scruff, Fri 23rd Nov

How do you like your tea? Strong, sweet or perhaps from more exotic origins? However you take it, Mr Scruff has the perfect brew for you. Fresh from a packed summer festival season, living legend and cuppa-connoisseur Mr Scruff brings his timeless ‘Keep It Unreal’ club series back to Concorde2 on 23rd November for an all-night set. Concorde2 makes for the perfect venue; not only has it served as Scruff’s southern spiritual home for nearly two decades, but the building itself was originally a tea room in the Victoria era. Mr Scruff may cut a wholesome figure but don’t be fooled – his vast record collection spans jazz, electronica, rare-groove soul, disco and has everything in between to heat this dancefloor up. Put the kettle on, Mr Scruff’s on his way round.

Two lovely performances from actors at the top of their game, but a script and production that could benefit from more work.
