Coach Party, Fri 13th Oct

Posted by Richard Warren

Coach Party, the Isle of Wight indie rock band, are back in town again, playing live at Patterns on Marine Parade. It’s the last date of their current UK tour to promote their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Killjoy’, released in early September on Chess Club Records.

Championed by 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Coach Party have had a great year so far. They’ve played packed out shows at The Great Escape and Glastonbury and supported Queens Of The Stone Age on their recent UK tour. The band formed in 2019 and consist of Jess Eastwood on vocals and bass, Joe Perry and Steph Norris both on guitar and Guy Page on drums. The NME describes the band’s songs as “always catchy and sung from the heart”. Could they be the next big thing from across the Solent, following in the footsteps of Wet Leg? Time will tell, but a great evening of music is a guarantee.
