PP Arnold: Soul Survivor, Weds 16th April

Patricia ‘PP’ Arnold is the ultimate Soul Survivor. Her story is one of musical highs, personal lows, and that extraordinary voice. She joined The Ike and Tina Turner Revue at the age of 17, then arrived in London in 1966 to support The Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger persuaded her to stay in London as a solo artist and the rest is history. During a six-decade career, she’s worked with everyone from Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, The Small Faces, Nick Drake and Barry Gibb to Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, the KLF, Paul Weller and Primal Scream.

We were lucky enough to chat with her before her amazing set at Love Supreme a few years ago and you can read the interview here.

To follow the publication of her autobiography, PP Arnold comes to The Old Market, courtesy of Brighton’s legendary soul DJs and promoters Too Darn Soulful, with jaw-dropping stories from her remarkable life in a beautiful, intimate evening that will include classic songs like The First Cut Is The Deepest, Angel of The Morning and many more.

Premium tickets are available for this event and include a seat in the front two rows of the venue plus a meet and greet with PP Arnold before the show (for timings and more information call the Box Office on 01273 201 801 (Phone lines open Mon-Fri, 10:00-16:00).
