SOURCE New Music At Brighton Festival

Last year, SOURCE teamed up with the Dome to launch a monthly showcase of our favourite Brighton musicians: in recent months Sophie Madeline, Man Ray Sky, Holy Vessels, AK/DK and Foxes! have all come down to the Pavilion Theatre to headline.

For Brighton Festival the Dome and SOURCE have added a brace of afternoon and evening shows too, taking place in the Brighton Dome foyer throughout May. Names in the frame for the daytime so far include Abi Wade, Monsters Build Mean Robots and Sweet Sweet Lies, with artists from multimedia collective Beatabet lining up a number of special events for the evenings.

Entrance to the shows is free, and the foyer bar will be open as usual for tea and refreshments.

For any line up additions pop back here, keep an eye on www.brightondome.org or Like our SOURCE New Music page on Facebook.

Stuart Huggett grew up in Hastings, writing fanzines and blogs about the town’s underground music scene. He has been a regular contributor to SOURCE, NME, The Quietus and Bowlegs. His huge archive of magazines, flyers and vinyl is either an invaluable research tool or a bloody pain. He occasionally runs tinpot record label Dizzy Tiger, DJs sporadically and plays live even less.
