Club Review: B-Side

B-Side club night prviewed in Brighton SOURCE magazine, Brighton's best music, arts and listings magazine.

SOURCE has a friend who used to worry all evening after, say, going shopping for clothes that she should have given all the money to save dolphins or whatever. She’s nuts obviously, but sometimes when you arrive empty pocketed from a night out you do have to wonder if you’ve just pissed you money up the wall. Luckily Bottletop – helped out by Playgroup – are back with their classic B-Side night and all the profits go to helping people who haven’t got the luxury of spunking a load of cash in discotheques. But worthy means boring, right? Not at all – B-Side punches well above its weight, drafting in the very best guests to the quirky Hectors House venue.

DJ Format had queues round the block, and Evil Nine are sure to do the same. JFB and Hint tore the place right up when we popped down and the atmosphere was friendly and fired up all night. Dancing in a pub though – are you sure? Actually there are people throwing shapes all night, it works really well.
