Street Source No.29

Street Source is a regular feature showcasing photos taken in Brighton. The idea is to share spontaneous moments around town – be it incidental street scenes, snapshots of people’s lives or images of the city as a landscape. Each month we ask a different photographer to participate. This time, Babak Roshan took his camera around the city’s pubs, clubs and cafes to capture a regular slice of Brighton nightlife.

Inside, with a warm coffee, on Bond Street.

A minute’s walk from the train station and you start to feel the vibe. Live music and friendly lads having a drink outside Idle Hands.

Friends having a deep conversation while waiting for Henge to start at the Hope & Ruin.

Looking for a friendly face, ready to strike up a conversation while waiting for a drink.

Entranced, he moves slowly with the music, like he can’t feel the time passing.

Time to look as normal as possible again…

Friday night’s natural movements. It’s 2am, the atmosphere is electric and people are warmed up and dancing at the Rialto Theatre.

Emotions running high on the dancefloor. Four different states of being in one picture. It reminds me that regardless of proximity, everyone has their own unique experience.
