Looking to combine your fervent support of local artists with getting some of your Christmas shopping out of the way? Of course you are. Well, here’s your chance: FESTIV_ALT is Brighton’s alternative Christmas light switch-on, and will feature a large, free entry arts and crafts market by local designers and artists as well as projection mapping, light art and a countdown to an interactive display with massive LED-lit balloons.

Local musicians including Night House, Lion Bark and Daisy Jean Russell will be entertaining the shoppers, and festively boozy mulled wine and cider will be on sale from Ten Green Bottles across the road. Arrive before 7pm to be part of the countdown.
