If you fancy being part of an event that proclaims to be Europe’s leading festival for new music, you can start the process now: The Great Escape opened their artist applications today. Over 450 bands played in 35 venues this year, and it’s renowned for attracting industry insiders, press, and music fans alike.

There’s no guidance on genre or style, but you will need to write a quick biography, submit a photo and have at least one recorded track.

The Great Escape 2016 will take place at numerous venues in Brighton and Hove from 19th – 21st May. Early bird tickets are now on sale.

Applications close in February, registration is free and you can do so online here.
