Weird Science

It’s that time in Brighton when it’s perfectly acceptable to get publicly excited about sciencey stuff. This year the Brighton Science Festival organisers have crammed in something to entertain the more arty-farty among us; with poetry events, film screenings and mixed media exhibitions. Even the W Bush-esque science sceptic camp are catered for with plenty of seminars and debates all over the city. There are also hands-on, craft orientated events for the kids, or those of us who didn’t leave Neverland. Many events are ticketed so make sure to bag some while they’re available.

Thirza Tooes is a small fish in a big pond, who dreams of being able to write about anything, for anyone. She loves Brighton much more than where she grew up, and may well become an eccentric Brightonian pensioner if she doesn't end up across the ocean addicted to deep-fried cheesecake.
