Clock Opera, Mon 12th Nov

Considering it took a couple of years for Clock Opera to travel from their initial online buzz to eventual debut album, its final release wasn’t greeted with the sales and recognition once expected. It may well be a lesson in how not to control your album’s release cycle, but those who have heard it should know how impressive Guy Connelly is as a songwriter. The album’s consistent, heartfelt, kitchen-sink-and-all approach to alternative pop is remarkable, and when performed live you realise it was worth the wait.
