Hardly a month passes without a band or artist emerging from America’s Woodsist label. Founded by Jeremy Earl of Brooklyn band Woods, behind the label’s murky walls of bedroom-recorded tape hiss and abstract lyrics there often lies pure pop sensibility. On 2011’s ‘Arcade Dynamics’, the second album from Real Estate guitarist Matthew Mondanile’s Ducktails project, the mist lifted to reveal a love of the song form that should prove intoxicating in a venue of this size.
