Gaelynn Lea, Wed 19th Dec

Posted by Rowan Reddington

After Gaelynn Lea won NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2016 she and her husband sold their house, bought a van, and started touring. They have yet to stop. A classically trained violinist who later discovered American and Celtic folk music, she plays haunting fiddle loops and sings powerfully of the human condition. Her latest album, ‘Learning How To Stay’, is the first to feature a full band and brings a pop influence into the fold.

Lea is also an eloquent speaker and an advocate for people with disabilities and for social change. This gig promises to be a moving and unmissable evening; grab a ticket before they sell out.
