JOHN announce new single and tour

The 50% Brighton resident two-piece noise merchants JOHN have shared new single ‘Riddley Scott Walker’ and announced a national tour in support of their new album ‘A Life Diagrammatic’ which will be released on Pet Care Records on the 22nd of September, with a celebratory in-store at Resident Records the day after.

The punchy single reveals a tightening of their sound and suggests that supporting Idles around the country has really paid off. The playing is confident, with taught fiery guitar and drumming under the growling vocals, in a way that tickles all the right Fugazi-loving glands.

The new tour dates see the band spending most of October in the USA while some of their biggest headline shows to date include both the Concorde in Brighton on the 23rd of February 2024 and the Scala in London on the 29th.

This suggests a band going places that might finally get the recognition they deserve. Last year’s afternoon set at the Green Door Store as part of the Mutations Festival was unquestionable highlight of the festival.
