Play On short play night returns to The Actors, Tuesday 11th November

After the roaring success of their first sell-out showcase of short plays, Play On returns with some of the UK’s best writing talent from TV, stage and film, brought to life by stellar directors and performers from across Brighton & Hove.

The collective – formed by Beth Pitts (National Theatre Studio, Soho & Mercury Theatres) and Jon Cooper (Old Vic New Voices, Sony, Channel 4) – continues to grow its team of local artists, presenting the most exciting, diverse and innovative new work for Sussex audiences.

The night will feature new work that honours our move into the darker half of the year, written by award-winning talent – Abi Zakarian (Scotsman Fringe First award, National Theatre Connections, Shakespeare’s Globe); Adam Barnard (London Orange Tree, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Audible); Jodi Gray (Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Brighton Fringe, VAULT Festival); Jamie D Huxley (BBC Radio 4, Trasformatorio art festival, Immersive Fiction Comedy Lab); Declan Feenan (National Theatre Studio, The Bush Theatre, The Arcola) and Patrick Moy (Performer for RSC, Shakespeare’s Globe, Abbey Theatre Dublin) with his debut short play.

Expect an evening of perfectly formed, short, sharp and hilarious shows you won’t forget.
