Sea Bastard, Thursday 21st January

Brighton doom stalwarts, the excellently named Sea Bastard, are coming to churn a dark wave of menacing, sandpapery yowls and relentless riffs at The Prince Albert. This marks their first local outing (unless you count Worthing, and if you did it would probably be a topic of some consternation to Facebook’s ‘Brighton Metal People’) since a well-received set at Mutations Festival.

Expect a ribcage rattling affair, as you’re swept into raging whirlpools of tracks lasting on average 12 minutes with titles like ‘Nightmares Of The Monolith’, and last year’s ‘Astral Rebirth’. Possibly what you’ll emerge from the gig feeling like you’ve had.

Support comes from Pascagoula and Wizard Fight.
