The Cells, 29th April

Only 150 tickets are available for this immersive art experience in Brighton’s Victorian police cells. The latest instalment of Pop-Up Brighton’s occasional ventures imagines guests enjoying one last party before their spell on death row comes to a disastrous end. Sculpture, illustration, sound art, performance and dance are all involved, as well as jail-themed cocktails. “This project is a very exciting one for me,” says Ashleigh Ward, who’s been popping up to provide 30 events with more than 1,000 artists over the past five years. “Bringing together all these different types of art forms means it’s not just an exhibition. It’s going to be an experience to remember.”

Old Police Cells, Brighton Town Hall, Friday 29th April, 7-11pm
