Post-techno duo Plaid headlined a Playgroup-curated evening of exciting electronic music last weekend, and wowed the appreciative audience. During their long career, Plaid have consistently swerved the mainstream to build a unique sound that’s part IDM, part electronica, and wholly innovative. Latest album ‘Scintilli’ saw a return to Warp Records and the live show didn’t disappoint, slipping between heavy beats and their signature innocent melodies.
From local SOURCE favourites Anneka to London party-maker Slugabed, the evening’s entertainment showcased some of the best artists around. Convex Collective’s talented DJs kept the bar lively, and when the lights went down, the crowd were left hungry for more.
