Pump Up The Jam Review

Everyone talks about Blur versus Oasis as the defining moment of 90s but actually dance music was what caught the ears of the decade. From Alison Limerick’s New York diva house through to the big room trance of Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ the best pop music came from the clubs throughout the whole ten years.

Pump Up The Jam know this and have dug out the most uplifting tracks that had everyone reaching for the lasers.

It’s pure euphoria from start to finish, filling up from the dancefloor as everybody sings and cheers and dances like the original ravers. With a backroom offering underground garage and d’n’b classics that’s every bit as manic as the main room there’s something for everyone here, whether you danced to the tunes the first time around or have vague memories of hearing them in your cot.

Top 10
Bizarre Inc ‘Playing With Knives’
Rhythm On The Loose ‘Break Of Dawn’
Liquid ‘Sweet Harmony’
N-Joi  ‘Anthem’
Felix ‘Don’t You Want Me’
Livin’ Joy ‘I’m a Dreamer’
Kenny “Dope” Pres. The Bucketheads ‘The Bomb!’
Nightcrawlers ‘Push The Feeling On’
Nush ‘U Girls (Look So Sexy)’
Urban Cookie Collective ‘The Key, The Secret’
