Following the surprise release of last September’s mildly controversial Sexwitch collaboration, Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan is on an ambitious creative roll. Held in Kemptown’s distinctive St George’s Church, this tiny hometown show finds Khan unveiling her fourth album ‘The Bride’. The album’s title character is a woman whose fiancé dies en route to her wedding and anyone attending this show is invited to wear their wedding finery or other formal attire for the occasion. As well as stately first single ‘In God’s House’, Khan has also released a string of evocative film teasers for ‘The Bride’, forging a fitting cinematic link to the charitable recipient of a cut of tonight’s proceeds: the David Lynch Foundation For Consciousness-Based Education And World Peace.
