Boundary Festival, Sat 17th September

Boundary Brighton is a new one-day festival, with a line-up across four stages including Craig David’s TS5, Groove Armada, Seth Troxler, Wilkinson and Congo Natty topping the bill. It replaces Shakedown at Stanmer Park and is aiming to be a Brighton-centric festival with stages hosted by Patterns, The Arch, Concorde2 (partnered with Mixmag) with elrow and LWE also involved.

So expect a more dance and DJ focused festival that promises to bring together house, dub, bashment, techno, drum’n’bass, breaks, electronica and apparently even a little crazy jazz. The full line-up is as follows.

Mixmag x Concorde2 Main Stage:
Craig David’s TS5 / Groove Armada (DJ Set) / Wilkinson (DJ Set) / Bondax / Jungle (DJ Set) / Snakehips / Gentleman’s Dub Cub / Submotion Orchestra / Rob Luis

Elrow x The Arch Stage:
Seth Troxler / Richy Ahme / Solardo / Toni Varga / Sean Branton & Paul S

LWE x Patterns
Jackmaster / Joy Orbison / Gerd Janson / Tom Trago / Charles Green / Mehtola / Mr Bongo Soundsystem

Boundary x Bandstand
Congo Natty Ft. Congo Dubz & Iron Dread / Toddla T & Serocee / Jaguar Skills / Krafty Kutz B2B A Skillz / Mr Wilsons’ Second Liners / Bob Kerr & His Whoopee Band / Jem Stone’s Village Disco / DJ competition winner / Busker’s competition winner

Beyond the stages there will be roaming troupes of performers including Brighton’s Soul of the City Choir, Portsmouth Batala will deliver Afro-Brazilian Samba and Toddla T brings carnival vibes with his pop-up Steelband. Mr Wilson’s Second Liners promise to pay homage to 90’s club culture by rallying impromptu raves and The Marching SKAletons play a mixture of ska, pop, electronic and Latin music.

You might be pleased to know the festival is also looking to move away from overpriced, swiftly regretted greasy burgers and will offer a variety of decent quality food stalls.

Tickets are available now priced at £41.15 and are available here. For more information visit boundarybrighton.com.
