Suzi Quatro, Monday 13th November

Suzi Quatro has long been the favourite, leather-clad, fist-pumping pin-up of many a music fan, ever since she exploded on the UK music scene in the early ‘70s.

She formed The Pleasure Seekers with her sisters in 1964. After gaining success on the live circuit and with their single releases, the band changed direction to become Cradle and this is where Suzi’s solo career began after being signed by British producer Mickie Most and relocating to London in 1971.

After a bumpy start she released ‘Can The Can’, at the height of glam rock, which went to Number 1 in the UK when she was only 23. Hit followed hit and she hasn’t stopped since. Never resting on her laurels, Quatro became an actor, including an unforgettable appearance on Happy Days as Leather Tuscadero, and starred in many successful stage roles. She has also published poetry, novels and an excellent no-holds-barred autobiography, Unzipped. She also hosted a long-running, hugely popular Radio 2 show, Rockin With Suzi Q.

We last saw Suzi in Brighton when she held a boisterous Q&A following a showing of the incredibly honest documentary, Suzi Q, that highlighted the animosity still felt by her sisters following her decision to leave them for a solo career in the UK.

She’s got a sackful of classic hits and newer bangers to deliver so there won’t be a support act. The show will begin at 7:30 sharp so do not be late.

Brighton Dome, Monday 13th November 2023

Tickets are on sale Friday from the box office or online here.
