Street Source

In the first of a new series for SOURCE, street photographer Tiago Nunes has put together this mini gallery of ten black and white shots of Brighton. The idea was to capture spontaneous moments around town – be it incidental street scenes, snapshots of people’s lives or just images of the city as a landscape. Each month we’ll be posting up another ten shots. For now, here’s what September looked like through Tiago’s lens.

Who's this?

‘Who’s This?’
Brighton seafront, 8th September
Tiago: “Always loved candids. Love bikes as well. Great expressions. All came together in a second to make this shot of a couple of friends catching up after a busy week in London. Great guys.”

A walk on the wild side

Tiago: “This friendly man was walking around Brighton trying to find his way to the station to pick up his mother who had just arrived from India. Apparently he had just got back from Spain where he walked the famous 500-mile Camino de Santiago pilgrim trail in northern Spain, which he said was the most spiritual journey he has ever taken. He told me that by the second day of walking he had blisters all over his feet, and now they help him remember all the steps he has taken.”

Rolling Frames

Tiago: “Just bumped into this inline community (apparently they’ve been doing it every week for 10 years) that welcomed me as one of them on a sunny afternoon. Made friends, made a shot, made my day…”
