Andy Blade, Thursday 31st March

Eater were one of the original class of 76 London punks releasing a number of great singles and an album before calling it a day in 1979. The thing that stood out was that most members were still at school, with drummer Dee Generate the youngest at 13.

16-year-old singer Andy Blade continued with a solo career and published a well-received memoir ‘The Secret Life Of a Teenage Punk Rocker’ that now fetches big money, if you can find a copy. He has a new album out this summer and is playing a rare Brighton show supported by new local grunge combo Willoh who will shortly be releasing their debut single.
