With his ‘Black Sands’ LP came a huge renaissance for Bonobo, Brighton’s prodigal son who returns for this one-off DJ set. A newfound love of post-dubstep like Joy Orbison led him to give his melodic, jazz-tipped grooves a new clean edge, winning him DJmag’s Album Of The Year. Frequently playing records tougher than his albums (he once gave a complaining European clubber his €5 back and told him to go and have a dance), DJ Food and Diplo took Bonobo across America in 2000 and he’s ruled the dancefloor ever since.

Second Opinion by Rebecca Linzey
In the wake of three hit albums Bonobo returns to his former home town for a DJ set. A mixture of harmonious, complex, rhythmic and melodic glitches and sounds. The beats are sometimes fast, sometimes steady, but always connected, synchronised and flowing. Unadulterated beauty that grabs you by the hips and drags you in as if lassoed by a beat-freak. A night that is guaranteed to lift and satisfy your soul – miss this one at your peril.
